This experience sparked many interesting conversations throughout the day, particularly about the abstract ideas behind some of the works. I am excited to see how this exposure will influence the students' personal investigations and the creative work they produce.

Julian and Caleb, Athletic Captains (Sports Society), share their vision

Our plans for athletics team 2025/26:

We strive to represent HRSF proudly through our athletic achievements. We aim to do this by organising trials at the start of the year and training sessions every other week to build a strong athletics team who can represent us for the next two years and leave a remarkable legacy behind.

Throughout September, we will be promoting our athletics team by hosting many events to give our new Year 12s a taste of our success, motivating them to carry on the legacy we are leaving behind. We will be promoting events to encourage individuals to overcome their fears of judgement and to promote inclusiveness.

We plan to attend a winter indoor athletics competition, for which trials will be hosted by us. Although we don’t know what the future holds, we aim to be successful.

As out first year of becoming athletics captains, we won our very first competition against schools in the Harris Federation. This was a tremendous achievement for us and our school, and we hope to increase our skill level as the years progress. We hope that we will see you at the trials at the beginning of your first year as a sixth former!

Your athletics captains, Caleb and Julian.
